We now have a better idea of how a Toronto bullpen minus Ken Giles (RHP, TOR) sets up in an ideal world: Jordan Romano (RHP, TOR) in the seventh, Rafael Dolis (RHP, TOR) in the eighth and Anthony Bass (RHP, TOR) in the ninth.

But when the final chapter is written on this strange season, it says here that there’s a fair chance that Romano will turn out to have been the pitcher to own of this trio.

First of all, with Bass, not only are injuries an ever present concern, but thus far the second-half SwK that caught the Baseball Forecaster’s attention this past offseason has been AWOL, leaving one to wonder whether that may have been a small sample size aberration.
