Spring training has come and gone, and new Cubs closer Brandon Morrow (RHP, CHC) managed to leave Arizona with his arm intact. The oft-injured reliever hasn’t exceeded 60 IP in the majors since 2012, though he did throw 63.2 IP last season between Triple-A and the majors). After pitching deep into the postseason and being ridden heavily by the Dodgers, pitching in all seven World Series games, Morrow had a light workload this spring, making only five appearances in Cactus League play. If Morrow’s run of good health proves to be fleeting, who will the Cubs look to as a replacement at closer?
