General Manager John Mozeliak has expressed confidence in Kolten Wong (2B, STL) as the team's starting second baseman heading into 2014. He managed to add a solid insurance policy, however, in Mark Ellis (2B, STL), who was signed to a one-year deal worth $5.25 million. Wong had a less than stellar debut in 2013, when he went 9 for 59, with just one extra base (a double) and three walks. He's still widely considered one of the organization's top prospects, though, and will have his chance to earn the starting job with an impressive spring.
