GM's OFFICE: Auditing our projections in-draft

Over the past week or so, I've been participating in my first industry draft of the season. This one is a casual, collegial affair: for the past several years, NFBC proprietor Greg Ambrosius has hosted a private draft-and-hold league populated with speakers from First Pitch Arizona. Of course, there was no FPAZ event this past fall, but Greg was kind enough to fire up the league for us again.

The nature of this event, populated with industry voices who I greatly respect as players, set me up to use this draft as something of an audit on our projections. With a couple of other BaseballHQ.com writers (Doug Dennis and Ryan Bloomfield) in the league along with me, plus another drafter (USAToday's Steve Gardner) who I know leans heavily on...
