GM's OFFICE: Flattening the (projections) curve

Back on May 1, we unveiled our revised 2020 projections, adjusted to reflect a 100-game season. In the accompanying article, I outlined the process we used to derive those projections: which changes we had already made, which were still in process, and which we kept out of scope at that time.
Three weeks later, we still don't have any more commitments about the shape of an MLB season. We have a fresh batch of rumors and reports: an 82-game season, universal DH, super-divisions based on geography, playing in home parks rather than spring training sites. But as we said in that last article, we'll wait for complete confirmation of the actual rule set before we make supporting projection changes based on those reports. We don't want to...
