GM's OFFICE: Late draft recaps; sprint-season standings

We made it. Congratulations everyone!

I've got some thoughts as we transition into in-season mode. But before we get to those, let's cover the two teams I drafted in the NFBC Main Event over the past week.

My first draft was last Saturday. This is my annual Main Event entry with my NFBC partner Win Murray. I manage the hitting and he handles the starting pitching; we collaborate on closers. Partnerships are widely seen as dicey, but Win and I have been doing this for 13 years now, and it works very well.

Having a singular focus to build a monster offense is rather freeing. Win generally gets out of the way and lets me hammer the offense early, we often end up executing the straight draft adaptation of a classic LIMA Plan.
