One of the things I hate about industry drafts is that they typically happen so early in the preseason. I participated in three such events this year:
- The FSTA held a draft on January 19th, at their semi-annual conference in Dallas.
- The LABR-Mixed draft was held on February 16th.
- The Tout Wars Mixed draft was held on March 8th.
Three drafts: one around four weeks before Opening Day, the other two much earlier than that. In theory, these early draft present an opportunity to make some aggressive moves. If there's a guy competing for a rotation spot, or an unsettled closer situation, you can take advantage of that uncertainty.
For some reason, I've developed a focus on the negative side of that uncertainty. Not so much a fear of making...
