GM's OFFICE: Pollock and Schwarber, patch and spackle

One of the things I hate about industry drafts is that they typically happen so early in the preseason. I participated in three such events this year:

  • The FSTA held a draft on January 19th, at their semi-annual conference in Dallas.
  • The LABR-Mixed draft was held on February 16th.
  • The Tout Wars Mixed draft was held on March 8th.

Three drafts: one around four weeks before Opening Day, the other two much earlier than that. In theory, these early draft present an opportunity to make some aggressive moves. If there's a guy competing for a rotation spot, or an unsettled closer situation, you can take advantage of that uncertainty.
