Most fantasy baseball players are familiar with three of the most common methods for converting projected stats into dollar values to be used in a fantasy draft or auction. These are the percentage valuation method (PVM), the standings gain points (SGP) method, and the z-score method. In particular, PVM and SGP have been common topics of discussion, here at BaseballHQ.com, in best-selling fantasy baseball strategy books, and across the internet.
