Stolen bases in 2013 fell to just 2,693 after seasons of 3,279 in 2011 and 3,229 in 2011.
In the first two parts of this series, we concluded that the root of the decline was managerial decisions, though a changing player pool also contributed.
In this final installment, we’re going to look at the topic at the team level, examining all 30 squads to anticipate what will happen in 2014. Then we’ll share some game theory and draft strategy suggestions based on our findings.
