Back in 2010, BaseballHQ.com published a research essay on how well five-game sequences predicted the sixth game in that same sequence.
In this R&A article, we will update the 2010 article by looking at five-game sequences of any type, and will add a new wrinkle: assessing after three- and four-game hot streaks, using BaseballHQ’s “Pure Quality Start” (“PQS”) method for rating starts.
