Nolan Arenado has voiced his displeasure with the Colorado Rockies inactive offseason. While several rumors circulated about a possible trade, one couldn’t be worked out. Assuming we get a 2020 season back, a chance still exists that the Rockies may move Arenado at som point. If so, his fantasy value will take a hit since he leaves the league’s best hitter’s park. So how much should fantasy owners expect his projection to drop if he is traded?
Ever since the Rockies began play, the team has scored a ton of runs (over 400 more than the second-place Red Sox from 2005 to 2019). Initially, the runs were from home runs, but in 2002 the team added a humidor and the home run rate dropped from 213 HR to 152 HR at home in one year.
