SPECULATOR: Skill sets seeking roles to shine

With six weeks gone in the 2016 season, we are just reaching the point where it is safe to begin to evaluate the year-to-date performances of everyday players.

For players who are playing less regularly, though, we're still left in the dark. But we know that as some of those everyday players lose their jobs, to injury or poor performance, some of these current bench warmers will be thrust into more prominent roles. This week, we present a starting nine's worth of hitters who could end up making valuable contributions to their MLB teams (and perhaps your fantasy teams) at some point over the rest of the season.
