INFLATION
Jake Bloss (RHP, HOU) was a high draft pick in 2023 (3rd round out of Georgetown) but wasn’t generally thought of as among the Astros' best prospects. After seven games started to begin 2024 (four in High-A, three in Double-A), the 22-year-old is now firmly entrenched among Houston’s prospect followers. Bloss has posted a 1.57 ERA, 2.9 BB/9, and 10.2 K/9 in 2024 and hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs in any start. With a low release point and great extension, his...
