MINORS: Analysis of Batter Statcast Data

Year after year, minor league data continues to proliferate both in terms of public availability and variety. Most recently, Statcast data has become publicly available for Triple-A and Single-A Florida State League games over the past few seasons. This data is extremely valuable for evaluating players, and contributes to much of the analysis done behind MLB front office doors. It is also extremely valuable for evaluating players for enthusiast/fantasy interests. By quantifying aspects of a player’s game not easily quantifiable by the human eye, we can see another dimension of a player’s stats.
