MINORS: Deep Sleepers Outside the Top 100

A study of Top 100 prospect lists will usually yield at least 50 prospects that are generally included on most, if not all, of the lists. From recent first round picks to multi-tooled players, the lists are adorned with household names, at least with the onset of multiple prospect sites online. The remaining players on the list are still fairly common names, but are generally considered solid prospects nonetheless. This essay will feature 10 minor leaguers who, for whatever reason, are unlikely residents on most Top 100 lists entering the 2012 campaign. Some are recent international signees while others simply haven’t performed as well as their tools project them to play.
