MINORS: The Eyes Have It—Greg Jones, Ruben Cardenas, and Blake Hunt

The Tampa Bay Rays are always one of baseball’s deepest farm systems. I’ve covered the organization during list and book season for the past few years. It’s always the organization that ends up with the most prospects in the book, although the Indians are making a mighty march towards competing with the Rays. Their farm system is so deep because everything they do is orchestrated to beat other organizations to the punch.

When scouting a series involving one of their teams, I’ll circle the two or three names most fantasy managers know about and expect one or two prospects to pop up during the season. Some affiliate levels are deeper than others. I can always bet on having something to write about.
