MINORS: The Eyes Have It—Ronny Mauricio & Steele Walker

One month down, four months to go. The minor league season is cranking up. I’ve had great luck dodging rain drops in the early going. Only one rainout, which is amazing considering the weather pattern plaguing the Southeast the past four months. While it looks like my luck is running out this weekend, I’ve seen a whole lot of baseball, both amateur and pro coverage.

The South Atlantic League (Single-A) has already been fruitful. So far, I’ve covered Red Sox prospect 1B Triston Casas, Mets prospect RHP Simeon Woods-Richardson, and Braves Prospect RHP Jasseel De La Cruz. I’ve also seen Phillies prospects (Brent will cover a majority of them since Lakewood is one of his home parks) and White Sox prospects to go along with other prospects...
