INFLATION
Jacob Melton (OF, HOU) may be the biggest benefactor of the trade that sent OFs Drew Gilbert and Ryan Clifford to the Mets in the Justin Verlander deal. He is now likely the consensus top prospect in the entire organization. The 22-year-old was a 2nd round selection in 2022 out of Oregon State and has shown marked improvement in various facets of his game in 2023. Currently in High-A, the left-handed hitter is batting .249/.344/.471...
