Now that we’ve covered minor league age as it relates to major league outcomes for batters, it’s time to turn our attention towards pitchers.

It stands to reason that the general rule about age should hold true for pitchers as it did batters; pitchers performing at a young age compared to their peers are more advanced. However, given the fact that pitching requires a completely different skill set and development process than hitting, there could also be significant differences in the nuances of age as it relates to that development.
