Ranking prospects from the 2025 trade season

It was an active few days leading up to the trade deadline. The activity got rolling last week with the biggest trades being made in the last 48 hours before Thursday's deadline passed. It was a robust reliever market, which was where teams received the greatest prospect value back. While the reliever market was a sellers’ market, the rest of the market was a buyers’ market. It didn’t take much for teams to acquire a quality bat or even a starting pitcher.

The descriptions that follow will give a snapshot of each prospect traded. We’re going 25 prospects deep again this year. The top 10 players will include a paragraph-long blurb. The bottom 15 will include a sentence summary. I’ll also provide an updated potential rating at...
