BATTERS: September targets, 2020

For those trying to get the most out of their batters down the stretch, here are a dozen hitters that could provide you good value over the season's final few weeks.
 

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Jeimer Candelario (1B/3B, DET) steadily has improved in each month of 2020. Check out his BPV by month: -156, 74, 106 BPV. Candelario's improvement in August wasn't backed by very good plate skills (4% bb%, 78% ct%, 0.20 Eye). But his walks have soared in September (16% bb%, 79% ct%, 0.89 Eye). And his 91 xPX has soared to a 147 xPX. His barrel rate has nearly doubled from 2019, and his exit velocity is +2.6 mph. There's a lot to like in Candelario's recent surge.
