BATTERS: Week one observations, 2015

As we did in this week's Starting Pitchers Buyers Guide, let's take a very early look at some notable week one performances to determine if they are facts or flukes.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Lorenzo Cain (CF, KC) has started the season with a flourish, posting a 1.142 OPS in his first 29 PA. And his underlying skills are strong too: 10% bb%, 14% k%, 0.75 Eye. If he can sustain some of those plate control gains, Cain will have a great shot at eclipsing 30 SB for the first time in his career.

Anthony Gose (CF, DET) has been added in a lot of leagues in the early-going, and for good reason. He has an enormous speed upside and has shown good pop against RH bats in the past. But his quick start has been fueled by a .667 BABIP, the highest BABIP of...
