FACTS/FLUKES: Nola, Cain, Inciarte, Matz, Rosario

Nola becomes an ace … Aaron Nola (RHP, PHI) gave us a glimpse of his capabilities when he posted a terrific 3.16 ERA, 10.5 Dom and 153 BPV in 103 IP in the second half of 2017, but many wondered if he could do that over the course of a full season. Through 199 IP, he owns a 2.44 ERA and is the only qualified MLB starting pitcher in 2018 to post a GB% of at least 50% and a Dom of 7.4 or better, so it’s clear he has risen to the challenge. What’s behind the great performance?
