F/F SPOTLIGHT: Rhys Hoskins

We recall seeing the raw projection for Rhys Hoskins when working on the 2018 Baseball Forecaster: 58 home runs! It was a crazy number due mainly to his bonkers small MLB sample from 2017, and (as often happens) it ended up being adjusted before publication. Still, the power he showed in rookie debut was tantalizing, and his third-round ADP in 2018 reflected that hope. While he didn't implode, two somewhat pedestrian seasons (at least for the jumpy-ball era) followed his promising rookie year. He was the 44th-best hitter in 2018 and the 129th-best in 2019, surely a disappointment in both seasons for those who drafted him.

Let's see if we can identify any trends or locked-in skills:

Year AB AVG HR xBA PX xPX HR/F BB% CT%...
