RELIEVERS: Some buying and selling opportunities

This week, the column looks at a couple of sells, a couple of buys, and a couple of middle guys.

First up, sell Cardinals closer Alex Reyes (RHP, STL). Ten saves, no blown saves, providing $18 in value so far, you should be able to grab a premium. But can you afford to let him go? With Jordan Hicks (RHP, STL) unlikely to vault into the saves role as planned before the season, can't Reyes just close all year? Here are the skills so far:

STL (YTD) Sv BS Hld IP xERA WHIP K% K-BB% HR/9 BPV $
=================== === === === ==== ==== ==== ==== ===== ==== === ==
A.Reyes              10   0   0  19  4.83 1.21  30    10   0.0   9 18
G.Gallegos            1   2   6  21  3.14 0.67  29    24   0.4 148  9

The Cardinals are not...

Almost!
