RELIEVERS: Winter speculation in ATL, NYY, PHI, SF, TAM

There are so many bullpen roles up in the air this time of year. And there are plenty of free agents yet to sign. But we can poke around a few pens and see what drops out, starting in rebuilding Atlanta.

The Braves have retreads Jason Grilli (RHP, ATL) and Jim Johnson (RHP, ATL) (with experience!) in the closer role. They have 2015 survivor Arodys Vizcaíno (RHP, ATL). They have Mike Foltynewicz (RHP, ATL), a failed starter that is still getting billed as a starter, but might make a pretty good reliever. They have Alexi Ogando (RHP, ATL) for heaven's sakes! Here is how the projections handicap their skills:

This column covers relievers who might cost you a lot chasing saves but then fizzle out because of skills or injury risk.

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
