With the All-Star and the Futures Game both in the rear view mirror, we take another tour around the minors to see who is hot and who is not. We are now well past the half-way point for the 2012 minor league season and can get a better read on players who are having true breakouts and those who are really struggling.

Ben Sheets (RHP, ATL) reportedly will make his first MLB appearance in two years on July 15, likely replacing one of ATL's inconsistent young starters, Randall Delgado (RHP, ATL) or Mike Minor (LHP, ATL). Jair Jurrjens (RHP, ATL), whose surface numbers since his return from a minor-league demotion belie his shaky underlying skills, seems unlikely to be bumped. Sheets has a strong skills history, though his Dom and Cmd faded in recent years as he battled a series of injuries.

Vance Worley (RHP, PHI) started strong his rookie season with a sub-3.00 ERA through June. He may have tailed off a bit as summer wore on, but an ERA just over 3.00 set expectations high for his sophomore season. The 24-year-old hasn't disappointed.
