Nick Markakis was activated from the DL, and is expected to resume his duties as the team's starting right fielder when the Orioles resume action after the All-Star break. Baseball royalty arrived in Detroit this past offseason when Prince Fielder (1B, DET) signed with the Tigers. With a starting gig in the All Star game, Fielder is clearly popular with the fans; he’s certainly added a solid bat to the Tigers’ lineup.

In spite of rock solid skills, many wondered how Hiroki Kuroda (RHP, NYY) would fare after leaving the NL West for the rough and tumble AL East. Dodger Stadium is certainly more favorable to pitchers than the harsh confines of new Yankee Stadium, but you'd hardly know it looking at Kuroda's seamless transition into his new surroundings.
