DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: AL West—Zero visibility

The Astros made several decisions this past weekend that offered a little SS clarity going forward. First they agreed to terms with free agent Ronnie Cedeno (SS, HOU) and named him their starting SS just days after he was released by STL. But even though Cedeno offers better BA and defense than previous incumbent Tyler Greene, his marginal offensive skills have never been a long-term solution for any teamand it's easy to envision a mediocre backup like Marwin Gonzalez (SS/2B) stealing AB with better defense and a lucky h%. And while the contact-challenged Greene now isn't expected to make the Opening Day roster, he could factor in at some point during the year if he can work out a minor league deal with the club.
