José Berríos (RHP, MIN) and Kyle Gibson (RHP, MIN) both pitched well last year, with Berrios in his first full season and Gibson showing more than he has the past two seasons. Berrios put up a strong 2.9 Ctl, 9.5 Dom, and 3.3 Cmd, and was above the league average in FpK (64%) and SwK (12%), denoting his willingness to go after hitters. Limiting the number of home runs surrendered (he was at the league average last year at 13% hr/f) could be the next step in furthering his development.

Gibson ​enjoyed his best season since 2015. His Ctl inched upward to 3.6, but his Dom jumped to 8.2, resulting in the strongest Cmd (2.3) of his career as well as his highest BPV (78.) He will need to challenge hitters more and improve...
