A struggling club has finally reeled off six consecutive wins entering Wednesday August 19, coming courtesy of a favorable schedule and (perhaps not surprisingly) solid starting pitching against SF, SEA and COL at home. But a lineup accustomed to having its way offensively with the rest of the AL has been more of a mixed bag, currently ranking 13th in MLB scoring. Ominous signs abound, beginning with always-productive Michael Brantley's (OF/DH, HOU) IL stint (quad discomfort) that began Sat 8/15—immediately upon which the offense was held to nine runs over its next four games.
