Jason Castro (C, HOU) continues to get most of the ABs behind the plate, but not by much. Despite a recent uptick, Castro is again struggling at his 2014 offensive level, his worst in three seasons. The power remains intact, as emphasized by the 128/132 PX/xPX and nine HRs through 240 ABs. But his ct% remains below 70%, fueling a sub-.230 BA. And Castro's patience is hovering around 8%, well off the double-digit walk rates from his first three MLB seasons. While a continuation of his 47 AB July "surge"—11% bb%, 77% ct%, .234 BA—is possible, it's more likely that this is the high-end of his current performance range.
