The division's obvious rebuilder could get a huge boost with Mitch Haniger (OF, SEA) potentially in the lineup for Opening Day. Haniger underwent core surgery in January followed by back surgery in February, leaving him shelved for at least two months—but more realistically without a timetable for his return to the field. Now with whatever MLB games perhaps four plus months removed from his last procedure, Haniger looks like the Mariners' primary beneficiary to a delayed and abbreviated season. Following a breakout 2018 (.859 OPS, 26 HR over 596 AB) in 2018, Haniger's mixed-bag 2019 (15 HR, .220 BA in .246 AB) was aborted in June by a ruptured testicle.
