Surgery to remove a blood clot in his pitching arm has ended Cam Bedrosian's (RHP, LAA) season, but it's not currently projected to impact his 2017 outlook—which both from a skills and role perspective looks extremely bright. After struggling for MLB traction for the previous two seasons, Bedrosian's improved command of a wipeout slider fueled a 1.09 ERA over 40 IP and an across-the-board BPI surge. He had taken over the closer role in early August  from injured Huston Street (RHP, LAA,) only to be shelved by finger tendinitis shortly thereafter—at which time the clot was discovered.
