If the figure in Edvard Munch’s Expressionist masterpiece The Scream had seen them pitch, he would’ve reassessed the comparatively minor existential horror he was yelling about and fallen silent. The bullpen ERA was a terrifying (and dead last) 7.06—truly the stuff of nightmares.
