Sandy Alcantara (RHP, MIA) is counted firmly among the top-15 SPs going in drafts (40th overall, #12 SP, NFBC 15-team since March 1). There’s much to recommend here, from his durability (one of only four pitchers to record 200 IP in ’21 & “A” Health grade), to the big leap in skills last season (3.44 xERA, 18% K-BB%, 13.9 SwK, 130 BPV), to the improved lineup backing him up. The 2022 Baseball Forecaster slapped an “UP: Cy Young” on him, and at age 26, the sky’s the limit.
