PT TOMORROW: NL East—Schwarber getting in the schwing of things

Washington Nationals

Kyle Schwarber (OF, WAS) plays the field with all the grace of a fully-armored walrus, but man has he turned on the jets at the plate over the past week. Since he began moonlighting in the leadoff spot on June 8, the barrel-chested mammal has gone 4-for-16 with 4 R, 4 HR and 7 RBI while hitting first (he’s also hit fourth twice and sixth once in that span). Has Schwarber found a new home at the top of the lineup? How will that affect his PT moving forward?

2021 has been a pretty typical year for Schwarber so far: .229/.322/.463, 24 R, 13 HR, 33 RBI, 1 SB in 201 AB. His walk rate (10% BB%), contact rate (67% CT%), hit rate (27%), xBA (.244) and home run rate (27% HR/F) are all more or less in line with his career...
