The Fernando Tatis (SS/OF, SD) injury upset an otherwise stable infield in San Diego. Ha-Seong Kim (2B/SS, SD) is the most natural candidate to pick up every day playing time, whether at shortstop or second base. Kim struggled in his major-league debut (.224 xBA, 74 xPX, 17 BPV), but remains young (age-26 season) and has predictably reportedly grown more comfortable with major-league pitching. He projects to be the clear Plan A until Tatis returns.
