2024 reliever usage the first week

We are a little more than a week into the season and have more usage data to analyze. But be cautious worrying too much about a bad outing or going all in on a reliever with iffy projections. You should require a larger reason for a change in view over a reliever's skills. This article focuses in on current usage—not overall skills. You still want to consider the long view (skills over roles) when making roster decisions. 

Starting with Kansas City Royals, Will Smith (LHP, KC) has been operating from a traditional closer role but he has been knocked around his first few outings. James McArthur (RHP, KC) has been in a traditional set up role and he too has been battered during the first week. Here are the projections:
