One constant in bullpens is change, and covering it all in real time is fleeting. Here is the latest snapshot.
The Cincinnati Reds put Emilio Pagán (RHP, CIN) on the IL with a hamstring that should keep him out for quite a while. The most likely internal candidate to replace Pagan is Tony Santillan (RHP, CIN). But so far, it looks like mix-and-match with Graham Ashcraft (RHP, CIN) and Brock Burke (LHP, CIN) both getting chances, and frankly, the Reds have not been trying to preserve all that many leads since Pagán was hurt, so a pattern has not developed as yet. Here are the year-to-date numbers:
| CIN | SV | HD | IP | ERA | xERA | WHIP | K% | K-BB% | HR/9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pagán, Emilio IL | 6 | 0 | 14.0 | 6.43 | 5.63 | 1.43 | 18% | 8% | 1.9 |
| Santillan, Tony | 1 | 9 | 15.2 | 2.87 | 4.53 | 1.28 | 25% | 11% | 1.8 |
| Ashcraft, Graham | 1 | 7 | 18.2 | 1.93 |
