RELIEVERS: ATL, BOS, MIL, TEX, and WAS

This week, we examine Atlanta, Boston, Milwaukee, Texas, and Washington to see if we can mine for saves. We start in Atlanta, where A.J. Minter (LHP, ATL) has continued to struggle and Luke Jackson (RHP, ATL) has emerged. Minter's last save was April 24, and he got clobbered April 27 and May 8. Meanwhile, Jackson converted saves on April 28 and May 5. On May 9, Jackson blew a save and Minter came after and took a loss in that same game, and then got sent down to the minors the next day:

This column covers relievers who might cost you a lot chasing saves but then fizzle out because of skills or injury risk.

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
