RELIEVERS: Filtering for growing LI and strong BPIs

This week, the column looks at some non-closers that should be owned in NL-only and AL-only formats. Let's start with a list given the following filters: saves less than five; Dom 7.0 or greater; Cmd ratio 2.5 or greater; HR/9 less than 1.2; xERA less than 3.20; BPV 130 or greater; leverage index over the past 30 days at least 1.00 and greater than leverage index for the season. These filters do not capture every great reliever—far from it. But it gives us a very nice list of relievers who have strong BPIs and may be on the rise in their own organizations. Here is the list provided by these filters:

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
