RELIEVERS: Skills in 2021 you can grab for a buck

This week, the column is hunting for $1 or less on BaseballHQ.com's projections for mixed leagues. Filters used are $1 or less on the projections page, a 450 ADP or lower, and then skills: K% at least 25%, K-BB% at least 16%, a HR/9 at 1.2 or better, and an xERA of 3.90 or better. From that list, here are names to consider.

First, there are two names who are projected for 10+ saves as well as these skills:

quasi-closers     Sv Hd IP xERA WHIP  K%  K-BB% HR/9 BPV  $  ADP
================  == == == ==== ==== ==== ===== ==== === === ===
A.Ottavino (BOS)  12 20 58 3.80 1.36  32    19   0.8 106  -1 509
J.McGee (SF) (L)  14  8 58 3.90 1.17  27    21   1.1 129   0 535

Adam Ottavino (RHP, BOS) is expected to be the main set-up for Matt Barnes...

This column covers relievers who might cost you a lot chasing saves but then fizzle out because of skills or injury risk.

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
